Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation’s “BE the Ball” Event Set for August 30
The Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation announced today that its fourth annual “BE the Ball” event will take place August 30 at Topgolf in Tampa Bay, benefitting the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County (ELCHC).
Since launching in August 2023, “BE the Ball” has raised over $340,000 for ELCHC, resulting in over 360 children gaining access to high-quality early education and care programs.
“At the Early Learning Coalition, we believe every child deserves access to quality early education because the first five years of life lay the foundation for lifelong learning and success. These early experiences shape a child’s future in school, in the workforce, and as contributing members of their community,” stated Dr. Fredrick Hicks, CEO of ELCHC. “The generosity of the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation, as well as all those who participate in this event, helps provide families with access to affordable childcare, ensuring more children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.”
This year’s event will take place on Sunday, August 30, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The ticketed event is open to everyone, from Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans to University of Oklahoma alums, and to those looking to give back to the community by playing in the Topgolf tournament and helping support youth in the Tampa Bay area.
Individual tickets are available for $750, with bay packages and sponsorships starting at $5,000, which includes six tickets, and can be purchased now at bemayfield.org/betheball.
